When we decided to host the first annual field archery tournament at Lane End Conference Centre we knew that we wanted it to be designed for the archery novice. The objective was to create an annual event where we can offer exposure to the exciting world of field archery as well as showcasing the landscaped grounds at Lane End.
The event was kicked off with an induction followed by target practise and training. Adrian Caddy, the coach and owner of ACA Archery, designed the course to make maximum use of our picturesque grounds. Thirteen targets were strategically placed and the participants were pleasantly surprised when they realised the targets are life sized models and included a deer, a hare, a bear and even a dinosaur.
Axial Systems won the tournament by 1 point and have already said they will be back next year to defend the title. The date has been set for the 8th July 2010 and you can click here for further details. Early bird bookings receive a £10 discount per person.
