The Pavilion offers a choice of two civil ceremony venues, the Garden Gazebo for an outdoor civil ceremony in the summer, or the Pavilion room, with its panoramic views of the grounds and the golf course, for an indoor civil ceremony. Both of these civil ceremony venues offer a unique setting where you can be assured of an unforgettable marriage ceremony.

The Garden Gazebo at the Pavilion is one of the only outdoor wedding venues in Buckinghamshire and is licenced for civil ceremonies, offering a tranquil and unique setting overlooking the picturesque grounds. The spacious terrace, facing the Garden Gazebo outside the Pavilion, can accommodate up to 130 guests comfortably but is equally suitable for smaller, more intimate civil ceremonies.

If you are concerned about the weather, then we urge you not to let it stand in the way of having your dream wedding. We keep a close eye on the weather and will have the Pavilion available as a last minute indoor option.

The Pavilion is another perfect choice for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions. The air-conditioned room comes complete with French doors which open directly onto the terrace, and offers panoramic views of the landscaped grounds. The Pavilion can accommodate up to 130 guests comfortably for an indoor civil ceremony, after which the seamless turn-around of the Pavilion room will take place in preparation for your wedding reception, whilst your guests enjoy a welcome drink on the terrace.

A civil ceremony at a wedding venue is a legally approved marriage ceremony that contans no religious aspects.
Venues, that are licensed, can perform a civil ceremony after 8am and before 6pm.
The couple must contact the local register office at least 15 days before the wedding to give notice of marriage. This will provide the registrar with the authority to proceed with the marraige in a civil ceremony at the preferred venue.
The Bride and Groom must bring at least two people to the civil ceremony who are prepared to witness the marraige and sign the register at the venue.

Recent changes in civil ceremony legislation have made it possible for a wide variety of venues to become registered civil ceremony venues. More recently it has been made possible to register outdoor settings as civil ceremony venues. These developments allow couples to choose between a variety of venues, so that they will find the perfect setting for their civil ceremony. In England and Wales, since 1837 civil ceremony weddings have been recognised as an alternative to church marriages under the marriage act of 1836. This meant that couples could get married in venues other than a church.
