
Lane End Conference Centre, a wholly owned part of HTS Management Holdings Ltd, acknowledges that the day to day running of the conference centre and its activities have an impact on the environment both locally and globally, we are therefore committed to minimising, wherever practical, this impact.
We recognise that not only the staff and our clients need to play a large part in this but also our suppliers and their suppliers.
Therefore the Directors and management team at Lane End Conference Centre are committed to the following points:
- We have appointed our own Eco-team to install, train, supervise and monitor the company’s environmental policies (Headed by the Deputy Manager and our Green Champions)
- Employee involvement in environmental matters is encouraged at all levels and will be promoted through training, communication and the on-going reappraisal of our working routines
- We will endeavour to use only suppliers who have a sound environmental policy in place and wherever possible source local home grown produce and use environmentally responsible products accordingly, We care about the impact that CCC has on the local economy and the people who live close by
- Develop effective waste management and recycling policies
- Reduce waste though re-use and recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable or refurbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable.
- Maintain the grounds in an environmentally sensitive way having regard to the protection of natural habitat and local wildlife
- Always take into account environmental factors in any re-development and new build projects
- Minimise harmful emissions and conserve valuable resources through better energy efficiency
- Strive to continually improve our environmental performance and minimise the social impact and activities by periodically reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities
The executive team are committed to the implementation of this policy and will give their full support to those authorised to carry it out.
