The international conference venue, Lane End Conference Centre, hosted their annual summer party on the 23rd June 2011. The event was hosted in partnership with trusted event partners Hi5 Events and the world famous Drum Café, and attended by over 100 guests.
Guests were greeted by the Lane End sales team on arrival with a welcome drink and invited to look around the newly refurbished conference facilities in the Wycombe Lodge building, before enjoying the peaceful surroundings from the spacious Pavilion terrace overlooking the grounds. Andrew from Hi5 Events entertained guests with a selection of challenges, including motorised beer kegs and bathtubs.
The highly anticipated pre-dinner entertainment was provided by Drum Café. The performance started with three drummers seated at a desk with office equipment and a standard presentation, which developed into a rhythmic beatbox session and a delightful orchestra played on in-trays, staple guns, coffee mugs, rulers and files. The guests, who were provided with drums at their tables, were invited to join in a thrilling, interactive drumming session that kept everyone talking for the rest of the night.
Heni Fourie, sales and marketing manager commented: “Once again our annual summer party proofed to be a great success. We were extremely happy with the turnout, which included a healthy mix between many of our most loyal clients and new prospective clients who wanted to find out more about Lane End.”
Lane End Conference Centre was built in 1969 as one of the country’s first purpose built, residential training centres. The 26 acres of Chiltern’s countryside includes a par 3 golf course, two tennis courts and plenty of open space for teambuilding and other activities. The venue has been designed around five self contained buildings, each with its own set of training rooms and some offering a private dining room, lounge, bar and dedicated en-suite bedrooms. There are 104 study bedrooms between three buildings and plenty of leisure and sports facilities, including an indoor games room with a comfortable lounge and bar to keep guests occupied.
