Well Known Soprano Charlotte de Rothschild Perform At Lane End
Charlotte de Rothschild - internationally renowned soprano and descendant of the famous de Rothschild family - performed at Lane End Conference Centre in a special concert titled Music For A Summer Day.
Charlotte recently performed her Family Connections programme at Waddesdon Manor – one of the Rothschild’s estates in Buckinghamshire.
In this recital she sings songs from the past 200 years. All the songs were composed by ancestors, friends and teachers of the Rothschild family.
They were thought to be one of the most influential families of the eighteenth century.
Ms de Rothschild sings in 17 languages and has performed across the world in countries including the United States, Japan and France. She was joined at Lane End by harpist Danielle Perrett.
This was her first performance at the Buckinghamshire conference venue since the 2011 charity concert for victims of the Japanese earthquake.
Lane End Chairperson Teruko Iwanaga organised the event for a select group of Japanese Visitors, local business people and friends of the venue.
Ms Iwanaga said: “It was a great pleasure to welcome Charlotte back to Lane End.
“The event was a great success, the singing was just wonderful and everyone was thrilled to see Charlotte perform.”
