Overnight Stay » Disabled Bedrooms

Lane End Conference Centre was purpose built in 1969. Each building is completely self-contained with an upstairs suite of training rooms. The lounge, bar and dining room can be found on the ground floor. There are a number of en-suite bedrooms in each building, half of those rooms are on the ground floor and the remaining half on the first floor.

Commitment to Providing Accessible Facilities

The venue's design means it is very difficult and costly to adapt certain areas to be fully accessible. The venue's management team is committed to making reasonable adjustments - in conjunction with our refurbishment programmes - in order to accommodate guests who need accessible facilities to attend meetings at our venue.

Accessible Bedroom

We have successfully converted a groundfloor bedroom into an accessible bedroom.

The bedroom comes furnished with a four foot wide bed, grab rails and enough space for the recommended turning circle required for wheelchairs, an en-suite wet room with the neccessary grab rails and accessible facilities.

Access: 41 inch wide corridor and 29 inch door width (when the door is open) into the bedroom.

Disabled Bedroom Access

The Reception in Wycombe Lodge is fully accessible. The accessible bedroom is in the same building.

Directions: When you arrive through the main gates turn right. You will find the Wycombe Lodge building/reception on the left hand side. Follow the road and park in the bottom car park from where you will find ground floor access to the main reception.

Please note: This is not our main reception and it is therefore not always in operation. Therefore, please call the sales office on 01494 881171 (option 2) before arrival so that we can arrange for the reception to be open when you arrive.

Coming Soon: A New Fully Accessible Reception
We have planning permission to build a new, fully accessible reception. This new reception will be situated halfway between the Wycombe Hall and Wycombe Lodge buildings with covered (fully accessible) walkways to each of the buildings. We are planning to start work on this building project in the summer of 2016.

Accessible Meeting Facilities

We have two accessible conference rooms:

The Pavilion: Capacity for up to 150 guests in a theatre layout or 84 cabaret, ground floor access from the Wycombe Lodge building, accessible toilet facility.
The Quadrangle: Capacity for up to 50 in a theatre layout or 24 cabaret, ground floor access from the Wycombe Lodge building, accessible toilet facility.
Dining Room & Lounge
The Wycombe Lodge building is equipped with a ground floor dining room, conservatory, coffee lounge and bar. This is an open plan area with no door restrictions.

Lift Access

Due to the nature and design of our five distinct buildings, there is unfortunately no lift access. We can however offer ground floor meeting space and bedroom facilities if required.

Any new buildings (including the Cedar Club which is due to open in June 2015 and the new reception planned for summer 2016) will be fully accessible with lift access where neccessary.

Disabled Parking

Due to a limited number of parking facilities at our facility we have been unable to convert existing spaces into disabled parking bays. However, with prior notice we can reserve two bays as close as possible to the building's entrance.

All the bedrooms have large windows to allow plenty of natural light, study desks, wall-mounted plasma TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone, iron, ironing board, toiletries and fresh towels.

Hi Alice, although I spoke to you in person yesterday, I wanted to also email to say a BIG THANK YOU for all your help during the past three days at Lane End. I could not have had three successful events without you.

I am also really grateful to the whole team I dealt with at Lane End, from your reception to the kitchen – they all work so hard, you have a great team! Please also pass my thanks to Dave, the King of Lane End, who is always there to give us a hand.
