AIR CONDITIONING

All our meeting rooms are fully air-conditioned and our newly refurbished bedrooms also benefit from air-conditioning as standard. Basic instructions are on the wall or remote control. Use MODE button on remote control to select heating (sun icon) or cooling (snowflake icon). Allow up to 20 minutes for the unit to react to a MODE change. Fan speed and direction can be controlled with the remote control as well. For further help and support please dial 0 for reception. 
 

BAR FACILITIES

Unless otherwise arranged by your organisation, the bar is open from 6pm until 11pm. 
Only the consumption of alcohol purchased from the bar is permitted in our public areas. 
 

BEDROOMS

All bedrooms are en-suite with bath and/or shower, tea and coffee making facilities which are replenished daily, direct dial telephones, television, hair-dryer, iron and ironing board. Many rooms are equipped with trouser presses. The temperature can be controlled by adjusting the thermostat on the radiator. In some rooms air-conditioning is available ­ please see above for instructions on use.  Guests are requested to vacate their bedrooms by 10am on the day of departure.  Room accounts can be settled anytime before departure.  Your room access card will not work after 10am on your departure day.

 

CIGARETTE MACHINE

Cigarettes are available for purchase from our on site vending machine located in the temporary Cabin Building opposite Wycombe Lodge. Please note that the machine does not accept cash and you will require either a bedroom card or a cash card available from reception. Please note that smoking inside our buildings is prohibited under UK law.
 

DINING ROOM

Breakfast is available from 7am to 9am.  You are asked to help yourself to fruit juice, cereal, yoghurt or fruit and we will take your order for cooked breakfast.

At lunchtime we offer an extensive hot and cold buffet selection.  There is always a vegetarian alternative during both lunch and dinner. Should you have a special dietary requirement then please let us know as soon as possible.

Dinner is typically a table d’hote menu but your organisation may have made alternative arrangements for you. 

Please refer to your course programme for lunch and dinner times.  If no times are indicated then we will provide these lunch at 1pm and dinner at 7pm.

Free-flowing tea and coffee are available in the coffee lounges all day.
 

EARLY MORNING CALLS

Please dial Reception (0) to arrange a wake up call.
 

FIRE PRECAUTIONS

Please read the card in the bedroom relating to the procedure in case of fire.  Please familiarise yourself with your nearest fire exit.
 

LAUNDRY SERVICE

We offer a weekday 48 hour-return dry cleaning & laundry facility.  Details are in the drawer of the bedroom desk unit.  
 

NEWSPAPERS

A selection of daily newspapers is provided in the lounge each day.
 

POST

Outgoing mail may be posted at the centre’s main reception where a collection is made each morning. 
 

RECEPTION

Reception is open from 7am to 10.30pm daily. Reception is able to assist with checking in and out and all other administrative tasks related to your stay. 
 

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

The centre offers a wide range of leisure facilities which include:

Virtual Golf in the Cedar Club

The Cedar Club is open from 10.30am to 11pm. The Gym is open from 7am. All the above activities (except virtual golf) are available free of charge.  Tennis racquets & golf clubs are available at reception on a first come first served basis.

Towels are provided in the changing area.

In the local area there are centres for horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, gliding, dry skiing, karting, off-road driving and ten pin bowling.  There is a large multi-screen cinema within 4 miles and High Wycombe is the closest shopping centre with most major retailers represented.

Information about local restaurants and entertainment options are available from reception.
 

SECURITY

Our security staff are on duty between 8pm and 7.30am each day (8am on Saturdays & Sundays) and they can be contacted by telephoning 0 from any telephone.  In the event that this is not answered, please dial 07950 649856.

The security is controlled by Risk Management of High Wycombe and in extreme emergencies they can be contacted on 01494 535830 or 01494 441805.

The front doors of each building unit are locked at the time indicated at the door.  Arrangements for gaining access are also detailed.  The front gates of the centre are locked at midnight.  Any items of value can be deposited in the centre safe.  Please do not leave items of value unattended in the lecture room areas.
 

SHOE CLEANING

A shoe cleaning machine is situated near the cloakrooms.
 

TAXI

Please contact reception to make a reservation.  Our countryside location means we require a minimum of 15 minutes notice to obtain a car.

All bedrooms are provided with individual telephone extensions.  Accounts should be settled at reception on the day of departure.

The telephone is answered at the main reception between 7am and 10.30pm and then by the security staff at other times.
 

VENDING MACHINE

There is an on-site vending machine located in the table tennis building adjacent The Cedar Club. The machine does not accept cash ­ instead you will need to use your bedroom card or purchase a cash card from reception to buy products. There is a selection of items available to purchase including snacks, drinks, toiletries, headache tablets, plug adaptors, lighters, cigarettes, etc

Hi Alice, although I spoke to you in person yesterday, I wanted to also email to say a BIG THANK YOU for all your help during the past three days at Lane End. I could not have had three successful events without you.
