Steps To Reopen For Conferences & Meetings
The health, safety, and welfare of all our clients have always been our greatest focus here at Lane End.
That is true now more than ever before as we move towards re-opening the Conference Centre, hopefully in August, and consider the steps we are taking to ensure that everyone who comes onto our site will remain safe and comfortable.
With plenty of green spaces and exclusive use options to ensure maximum space in which to conduct meetings and training, we are not resting on our laurels and are carefully following Government guidelines as well as Venues of Excellence, IACC, Trident Hospitality, MIA and HBAA initiatives.
We are taking every precaution we possibly can, to ensure that we can welcome you back safely.
Here are just some of the measures we are taking:
We shall be retraining our team of hospitality professionals to be fully appraised and focussed on their COVID-19 related new responsibilities and tasks such as wearing full authorised PPE, constant hand washing and sanitising, twice daily recorded temperature checking and complete understanding of what to do if they or anyone else they have come into contact with shows any symptoms of the virus.
Reduced Meeting Room CapAcities
We have adapted and reduced our meeting room and public space capacities requiring all and any visitors to site, including our clients, staff, and suppliers to be wearing face masks and to have a laser-temperature check taken on their arrival.
Our policy, wherever possible, is to contain all the members of one party in their own exclusive building.
Robust Cleaning And Sanitising
Whilst we have a robust cleaning schedule in place already, we will implement an enhanced schedule to regularly disinfect and sanitise public areas and high-volume touch points and items, both before and after occupation with third party hygiene audits to be conducted on a regular basis.
Sanitising stations have been provided in all public areas and at regular intervals throughout the site and to reduce the risk further we will not be providing stationery in our meeting rooms.
Additional Catering Areas
We have adapted our food service style and dining room capacities to deliver a safe service whilst taking social distancing, use of PPE and catering delivery into account. We benefit from having a variety of dining areas and will ensure that all catering break times are staggered to minimise the numbers of people in catering areas, maximising social distancing during mealtimes.
We are also putting as many coffee stations as we can onto our site, so that we minimise queues and maximise refreshments.
In addition, we will adjust catering services to meeting and guest rooms, including bedroom tea/coffee supplies.

Please note, we are currently continuing to take reservations for an expected re-opening from early August.
