Active Risk - Annual Kick-Off Conference
Active Risk providers of the world's first Enterprise Risk Management solution that drives business performance by allowing organizations to take more risk.
The company needed an experienced conference venue, with well equipped conference facilities and ample outdoor space for team building activities, to host its annual Sales Conference. A very important date in the company’s calendar, the event is aimed at discussing sales performance, communicating goals, setting strategy and building team morale.
Lane End Conference Centre was able to provide Active Risk with exclusive use of two self-contained buildings: Wycombe Hall and the Pavilion with direct access to the team building grounds.
More than 30 Active Risk employees from all over the UK stayed at Lane End for a five-day interactive conference with more than 60 guests attending the main activity day on the Wednesday.
Active Risk contacted Lane End Conference Centre as part of a larger venue search. The shortlist of venues was identified about two months before the planned event. Thereafter various members of the Active Risk team attended four separate site visits to determine the suitability of the venue, the level of service and degree of flexibility of the venue’s team.
The venue had to have excellent conference facilities, accommodation and plenty of outdoor space for team building. The venue also had to be readily accessible with convenient motorway and airport links.
Lane End Conference Centre proved to be an ideal conference venue for Active Risk. The nature and size of the individual buildings offered a unique opportunity to use the available space in a modular way, allowing the organisers to choose buildings best suited to the individual sections of this interactive conference.
Active Risk booked two conference buildings for this five day conference Wycombe Hall and The Pavilion. The self-contained nature of the fully-equipped meeting rooms in Wycombe Hall offered a private working space, which is an ideal working environment for serious planning and strategic discussions. The layout and design of The Pavilion with its close proximity to the grounds created the perfect environment for the main activity day attended by over 60 Active Risk employees.
Wycombe Hall offers:
• a fully equipped conference room and three break-out rooms in a self-contained suite
• a dedicated office with photocopying and computer facilities
• bar, dining room and lounge, serving tea, coffee plus freshly made homebaked pastries
• 43 en-suite bedrooms, each with free internet access, study desk, TV, hairdryer and mineral water.
The Pavilion offers:
• a spacious function room with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors that open directly onto a private terrace
• screen, data projector, flipcharts and three dedicated break-out rooms
• Close proximity to the team building grounds
• Private bar and dedicated kitchen
