Buckinghamshire conference centre supports local community fete

Village FeteOne of the UK’s first purpose-built conference centres raised £1200 for the local community as part of its 50th year in business celebrations.

Lane End Conference Centre, has provided and sponsored a bar and stall selling burgers and hot dogs at the local village fete, raising the much-needed money for the Village Hall and local church.

Mark Lishman, Deputy Manager at Lane End Conference Centre, said: “We’re extremely proud of our location and work hard to support the local community whenever possible.

“Our annual support of the local village fete helps to raise money to support Village Hall project and the local church.

“By providing catering options, something that we do very well, we are taking a little bit of Lane End out to the community and using our skills to support their events and fundraising efforts.

“We are particularly pleased to have raised more than £1000 this year as we are celebrating our golden anniversary – an impressive milestone in the history of our business.

“At Lane End we pride ourselves in delivering the best for our customers but also on being good neighbours and responsible members of the local community.

“Our corporate social responsibility is always at the heart of everything we do, from raising money for our local community, to developing an orchard on our site reduce our carbon footprint.”
