Lane End Conference Centre Is Launching An Executive Training Venue
Lane End Conference Centre is relaunching its Wycombe Lodge building as a dedicated Executive Training Centre.
Lane End has also again been awarded the VenueVerdict Gold Standard for customer service.
Wycombe Lodge - one of five self-contained buildings at the purpose-built residential conference centre - has undergone a major refurbishment.
Work at the lodge has included a brand new 60-cover restaurant with a conservatory and private terrace overlooking Lane End’s nine-hole golf course and 26-acre landscaped grounds.
Wycombe Lodge is the most private of all the buildings at Lane End, making it perfect for events where privacy and productivity are of critical importance - such as senior executive conferences and training.
The Lodge has capacity for up 35 residential or 55 day delegates. It comprises two main conference rooms (capacity 90 and 44); four meeting rooms (capacity 10 each) plus a garden room (capacity 10).
There are also 35 bedrooms which can be used exclusively when they are all hired on a 24-hour basis.
Work on the main conference suite at Wycombe Lodge was completed at the end of 2012.
Ongoing work there includes a rolling refurbishment of all the bedrooms, all of which will include French doors, new balconies, full size double beds, air-conditioning and new bathrooms.
By the end of November, 16 of the lodge’s 35 bedrooms will have been transformed.
The first client to use Wycombe Lodge following the revamp of its restaurant was a global risk and reinsurance group.
They chose Wycombe Lodge to host their annual graduate programme.
The company’s Early Careers Programme Manager Karen Shaw said: “It’s great to come back to Lane End and see so many improvements to the venue.
“We were delighted to find that the Wycombe Lodge dining room has not only been refurbished but now opens into a newly built conservatory.
“It really is a great space and the views from the conservatory are stunning,” she added.
Lane End’s Sales and Marketing Manager Heni Fourie said: “We have always believed strongly in continual reinvestment in all our conference facilities for the benefit of our clients.
“The work at Wycombe Lodge is part of a major ongoing programme that has seen structural improvements to our buildings to further increase the natural daylight they receive,” he added.
Mr Fourie - who is also a professional wedding photographer in Buckinghamshire - was commissioned to produce a collection of detailed pictures of Lane End for the main feature wall at Wycombe Lodge.
The relaunch of Wycombe Lodge coincides with Lane End’s reaccreditation for the VenueVerdict gold standard award for customer service.
This is the third year that Lane End has won the VenueVerdict Gold Standard.
Unlike many other conference venues in the UK, Lane End offers delegates free high speed broadband - up to 100Mb - plus free parking.
