Senior Sous Chef
Lane End Conference Centre is looking to recruit a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef to help run 3 kitchens alongside the Head Chef. We are looking for someone with a solid employment record growing from junior chef and now looking for their 2nd Sous Chef role. The perfect candidate will have worked in multi-site operations and ideally large conference centres and/or hotels. Pub experience alone will not be sufficient.

You will help the Head Chef train, motivate, inspire and lead our brigade of 7 chefs and 3 kitchen porters.
You are passionate about food, innovative, creative and organised.
You will want to work with 100% fresh ingredients in an operation that prides itself on the standard & quality of its cuisine.
You will be familiar with and up to date with all Health & Safety legislation.

Report to the Head Chef
Lead the team in the absence of the Head Chef
Actively support and drive the quality and consistency of the food throughout the department
Maintain costs against revenue meeting the required Gross Profit
Help create menus which will be seasonal and meet all dietary requirements
Help train and develop the Brigade and Kitchen Porters
Maintain the hygiene and safety standards across all the kitchens and administration following all company procedures, polices and legal requirements
Complete all company training and update when required
Work closely with the senior Restaurant Team
Build positive and professional relationships with all Heads of Departments
Attend all required meetings and briefings
Working five days out of seven
Working a mixture of split shifts and straight shifts in line with the business needs, hours as required, with a minimum of forty
